The Zone Safe System is a new conceptual safety barrier product, designed to maximise protection for all personnel entering or working in or near restricted maintenance areas offering both Employees and Companies improved protection by having in place a solid, reusable and cost efficient product.
This product will replace the barrier tape system which is currently used extensively throughout the Mining and Construction Industry. The Zone Safe System equipment will directly increase the overall safety of all personnel operating in or near restricted areas, by putting in place a safety barrier capable of being fully secured to decrease opportunities or likelihood of employees inadvertently accessing these restricted areas.
The concept is the invention of Phoenix Shutdown Services, Managing Director, Colin Maylor, who has over 25 years operational and safety experience within the Mining and Construction Industry in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.
Colin observed and identified a major potential safety risk with the present system of using barrier tape, to restrict access which is easily removed, broken or not replaced and the product is not reusable or environmentally friendly.
The Zone Safe System as been designed with total quality control manufacturing processes and engineering standards in place, ensuring the product is robust, durable and capable of withstanding heavy and continual use. The product has undergone extensive and rigorous testing on site by our company’s employee’s operating within the Pilbara Region.
The product is manufactured overseas for our company with only the highest quality materials utilised in the construction process. It is constructed of heavy duty fully molded plastic components capable of withstanding extreme weather conditions.
Zone Safe units can be fixed to secure anchor points, such as scaffolding or standard walkway & staircase railing ensuring that it will remain firmly in place until physically removed from location, thus providing a solid fixed barrier to prevent unauthorized entry into restricted areas.
The system’s main advantage over the barrier tape product is its capability for use on a continuous basis, unlike the tape product which usage or application is basically a “one off” throw away product creating wastage that is not environmentally friendly or cost efficient.
The product also excels in its ease of assembly/disassembly allowing for easy storage for reuse when required, the product is constructed of light and durable material requiring single operator assembly.
Whilst Zone Safe barrier unit has been designed primarily for use in the Mining & Construction Industry, and more specifically for use on walkways and staircases, additional products are being introduced such as bollards and retractable barrier tape for which their application and usage is mostly endless.

Use in warehousing & storage facilities to isolate damaged racking or dangerous spills & hazards etc.
Suitable for use by Local Councils, Shires and other Authorities for maintenance during minor road, footpath and curb repairs in areas of pedestrian traffic.
Security or Police Forces to provide barricades for crowd control, following incidents or vehicle accidents etc.
Use in Engineering or Garage Workshops to restrict visitors, customers or the general public from accessing potentially dangerous areas.
