| |  | | To achieve their goals and ambitions, company Managing Directors Colin Maylor and Charlie Almenara commenced a market research program with potential clients in the Tom Price area in 2004. This program identified shortfalls and clients concerns regarding the quality and availability of professional suppliers for their industry in these fields of operation. The information gained from this program allowed for a business plan to be formulated that targeted the clients needs and requirement's, with scope for advancement, whilst still maintaining a cost efficient total quality control system of operations. | |  | |  | | | | Colin Maylor Managing Director | | Charlie Almenara Managing Director Operations | | To ensure that both client and company expectations could be met and continually improved, a recruiting process was commenced identifying those potential candidates that shared the principals, goals and ambitions of the two principals. The individuals selected were assessed on their capabilities, experience, knowledge and commitment to safety and integrity. In 2004, the newly formed company named Phoenix Shut Down Services, was registered and awarded its first contract. During this contract, and the many that followed over the past two years, we have not only met all our clients expectations but exceed them in every area. Our safety record, quality of workmanship and reliability is well known and respected within the mining industry today. Due to the efforts of both employees and management, our company is continually expanding our client base and areas of operation. We now have our central office in Perth, with site offices in Tom Price and Boddington. And we are continuing our expansion planning; which includes succession training and ensuring the retention of both knowledge and experience within the company. This allows us to maintain our highly qualified staff and early identification of potential future company leaders. None of this could be achieved without the continual efforts of our people and their professional approach to work standards and ethical behavior, and their continual support of management policies and adherence to safety work practices. We are a young company and with our ever improving management techniques and systems, we will grow and improve our company's operations in every facet. In achieving this we seek to become more community aware and environmentally active; allowing us to seek long term strategic partnerships with all our clients, and be more accountable for our own future by being more aware of organizational responsibilities to the wider community we live in. Our clients include BHP Biliton, Worsley Alumina and other major mining companies who have recognised our company's ability to get the job done on time, within budget and safely. For these reasons we have been assigned contracts on nearly all of their operational sites within the Pilbara region. The new Boddington operational office and workshops sites are near completion, which will help the company expand its areas of operations within the South West region. |
